Hi! I’m Lewend.

I’m currently a Full Professor of Organizational Behavior at Oslo Metropolitan University.

I completed my PhD in Organizational Behavior at BI Norwegian Business School in 2023, supervised by Professor Thorvald Hærem and Associate Professor Erik Løhre. My dissertation examined the role of emotions and psychological distance in decision-making under risk and uncertainty. During my PhD, I was also a visiting scholar at New York University, with Trope Lab. I then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Behavioral Economics at JEDI lab at Linköping University.

My research covers different themes, but broadly, it centers on judgment and decision-making, focusing on how emotions and various cognitive and social psychological factors shape people’s decisions, particularly those made under risk and uncertainty.

Since 2022, I have served on the steering committee board of the Norwegian Reproducibility Network (NORRN), which aims to promote reproducibility of research in Norway. I am also on the editorial review board of the Journal of Managerial Psychology.

At OsloMet, I teach Decision Making Processes in Organizations, an English-taught bachelor course, and Quantitative Research Methods, a Norwegian-taught bachelor course.

You can find my publications and ongoing funded projects on the research page.
